Hey girls, I'm bacccckkkkkk!!
I know I was away for a while, but it's time to get back into the groove of things. It's time for me to be honest about what's really going on, and in being honest about myself, I hope I encourage you to start getting honest with yourself.
Doesn't matter how much of a boss you think you are, sometimes you just have to remind yourself of the simple fact that consistency is what gets you the win.
And honestly, I haven't been consistent with She Sounds Like Her at all, and I'm beating myself up over it. I have big dreams for this platform to become more than just a safe space for women artists, I want it to become a lifestyle... But that's not going to happen if I keep putting this site on the back burner.
I recently moved from Atlanta to NYC on a journey to make a name for myself in the music industry, but in doing that I put my other goals on hold. Le's be honest... that's not cool at all. I live my life by the motto that you never know who's watching, and whoever is watching out for me right now is probably very disappointed.
How can I be a true boss when I let life come before my dreams?
Yeah so what, I'm tired? So what, that I have to do this all by myself?
No one is going to go as hard for my dreams as I do. And any step closer towards the bigger picture, no matter how big or small, is better than no steps at all.
So, let's be honest... I have major work to do, but at least I can acknowledge it. This is my public promise to myself to keep up this site no matter what. She Sounds Like Her deserves my time and affection just as much as my cool new job. I have to make this a priority... it's my only choice if I really want to win.
