New Artist Spotlight: Lyssa
If you don't feel her, then Lyssa isn't doing her job!
The buzzing songstress out of Houston, who also claims Atlanta as home, is making a name for herself with a trio of singles she's released this summer. Each song entitled "Who I Be," "Joyride" and "Sorcery," all tell a different story about who this flower child is as a person, and as an artist.
For those days when you feel down, and maybe like you've lost yourself, "Who I Be" is the perfect remedy. Hearing her say that she's "made of gold" is a constant reminder that you are perfect the way you are despite those voices that will try to tell you otherwise.
"Joyride" feels just like the rollercoaster Lyssa intended it to be. As soon as the beat drops, the song transports you to a night you can't forget, like those lovers you can't get off your mind. While her smooth voice begs for you to "come to your senses," this track will keep you stuck in a daze.
Then there's "Sorcery"... The magical and ethereal third song of her trio of singles feels like exactly what dreams are made of. The "mysterious thrill" of getting to know a new bae, feels both scary and somewhat comforting, as Lyssa loses herself in the song.
