Ohhhhh Syd, why you 'Always Never Home'?!
If you've been living under a rock and are clueless to who Syd is, then let us help wake you up! The lead singer of The Internet, is the queen of delivering a serious vibe.
She's been on the road in promotion of her debut solo album Fin, and has blessed with a 3-track EP titled Always Never Home to document what she's been doing and how she's been feeling. Equal parts sexy, aloof, and honest, this short project is a prime example of why we love Syd.
The stand out track for us is "Bad Dream/No Looking Back," where she gets little nasty and sings about spending some quality sexy time with her girl. Then, she starts getting real on the second half of the track where that sultry voice repeats over and over,
"We only kiss when we fucking, so we don't get too attached/ 'Cause if this turns into something we know there's no looking back (No looking back no, no...)."
Honestly, this trio of songs is EVERYTHING. It's the perfect reminder of the many reasons why we love Syd.
Always Never Home is currently available on all your favorite streaming platforms. Next up for the Cali songstress is more tour, because she's seriously never home!
